Audits

TIC is the largest industrial customer of television panel research, therefore a professional independent examination of television research system is a major task of the Television Industry Committee.

Let us remember that TIC has previously conducted television panel audit:

  • In 2003 and 2004 audits were conducted by Peter Menneer, an international expert;
  • In 2007 the TV Panel audit (ordered by TIC’s Founder - 1+1 TV channel) was conducted by an independent auditor Vittorio Bossi;
  • In 2008 the audit was conducted by CESP (Centre d'Etude des Supports de Publicite) - Centre for Media and Support;
  • In 2009-2010 the audit was conducted by an independent audit company.

The objectives of these audits were to check the current panel’s compliance with the most modern international norms and standards, clarify and obtain advice on working with national / local features of the Ukrainian television panel research, check the security of storage of TV panel research data, and others.

These audits resulted in technical and methodological recommendations, which became the basis for changes in the panel and were introduced by TIC and GfK Ukraine.

The objectives and plan of the audit are developed by TIC’s Technical Committee, the selection of contractors conducting the audit is made by open tender bids. Successful tenderers are selected at the General Meeting of TIC; the audit is financed by the Television Industry Committee.
