Banff World Television Festival Award (Canada) is one of the most prestigious international awards, which annually brings together more than a thousand participants from over 44 countries.

The Festival recognizes outstanding achievements in the television industry, creating an international platform for communication in the industry, makes it possible to collaborate, discuss and exchange views on current problems of the industry.

The Television Industry Committee has been working closely with the Banff World Television Festival, as evidenced by the fact that in 2009 TIC hosted the judging ceremony in two categories: Political Documentaries and Soap Operas and Telenovelas; in 2010 TIC also hosted the judging ceremony in two categories of the Festival.
