Kotenko Kateryna Serhiyivna

Education:

In 1995 obtained secondary education at the General Education Secondary School No. 1 of Ivano-Frankivsk City.

In 2000 graduated Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, Department of Economics, majoring in Sociology, having been qualified as a Sociologist and Sociology Teacher.

Work experience:

Employment history - 15 years, from 1995 to 2010.

December 2000 – June 2002:  Director of Educational Resource Centre, Non-Governmental Organization, Lviv.

June 2002 – February 2005: Executive Director of the Ukrainian Network Broadcasters Association, Kyiv.

Since February 2005: Executive Director of the Television Industry Committee, Kyiv.

Television Industry Committee is a professional industry association of leading broadcasters, media agencies and advertisers, representing the interests of the Ukrainian television industry and protecting its members.

Public activity:

Since May 2004 - member of the Public Council on Freedom of Expression and Free Access to Information.

Since 2004 – has been taking part in organization and hosting of the national television awards Triumph in cooperation with the National Council of Ukraine for Television and Radio Broadcasting.

July 2005 - August 2007 - member of the National Expert Committee for Protection of Public Morality.

Since July 2005 - member of the Council for Advertising under the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.

Since October 2005 - member of the Public Council of the National Council of Ukraine for Television and Radio Broadcasting.

Since 2007 - member of the Independent Expert Council on Mass Media intended to work during election campaigns.

Since 2007 - member of the Public Council for Information and Communication Technologies.

Since 2009 - member of the Public Board of the State Committee for Entrepreneurship of Ukraine.

Since 2009 - member of the Public Council under the State Customs Service of Ukraine.

Since 2009 - member of the Public Council of the State Committee for Television and Radio Broadcasting of Ukraine.

Acknowledgements and awards:

• the Committee on Freedom of Expression and Free Access to Information expressed gratitude for cooperation with the Committee and contribution to the development of domestic television and radio broadcasting and freedom of speech in Ukraine;
• the Central Election Commission expressed gratitude for the conscientious performance of her duties, the organization of a high quality preparation and holding of extraordinary parliamentary elections in Ukraine on  September 30, 2007;
• the National Council of Ukraine for Television and Radio Broadcasting expressed gratitude for her personal contribution to the development of electronic mass media in Ukraine and active participation in the Independent Expert Council on Mass Media during the extraordinary parliamentary elections in Ukraine in 2007;
• awarded a Certificate of Gratitude by the National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine for “active and consistent advocating of national interests in the information field and fruitful cooperation with the NSDC of Ukraine”;
• granted the third category Award of Merit from the State Committee for Television and Radio Broadcasting “for a significant contribution to the development of democratic media space”.
