Strategy for 2010 – 2012 years
Television Industry Committee (TIC) – is a professional association of leading television channels, media agencies and advertisers. TIC represents interests of television industry and protects the interests of its members. The main purpose of TIC is to promote the development of television industry in Ukraine.
TIC’s main development strategies for 2010 -2012 are:
Television Audience Research
The goal is to create balanced (trustworthy, consistent and acceptable to all users) sociological research of television audience in Ukraine.
Key result areas:
- Providing correspondence of Ukrainian television audience research to the international quality standards, to the modern technological and methodological developments in this area as well as to the requirements of Ukrainian television market
- Providing correspondence of the television audience research to the signed contracts conditions and to the TIC’s decisions
- Television audience research professional and independent expertise implementation
- Licensed television audience research data users rights defense
Development of television industry
The goal is to raise the competitiveness of television among other media and communication platforms and to promote television market development.
Key result areas:
- Realizing of long term program of television market development and rise of television competitiveness
- Creation of favorable conditions for development of television as business
- Promotion of legislative priorities to enable effectiveness of the television market operating
- Effective cooperation with state bodies and other organizations related to the television market
- Current television and advertizing market situation, activities and development trends illumination
- Creating the conditions of transparent and efficient transition to digital broadcasting both for broadcasters and consumers (TV-viewers)
Self regulation
The goal is to become the well-known, effective and democratic mechanism to implement common interests of television market participants.
Key result areas:
- The general popularization of TIC as an influent body of television market self-regulation
- Development of self-regulation instruments for television and advertising market
Building of the effective cooperating team which consists of advertising and television community players and operates following common market rules
